Over the past few years there has been a lot of effort by the Thai Government to make the purchase of condominiums by foreigner easier and easier. Technically it is the only type of property a foreigner can hold freehold, hence their popularity. All licenced Condominium projects can sell 49% of the total square meterage to foreign freehold buyers, the remaining 51% is either leased or sold freehold to Thai buyers. This model has been very sucessful in Bangkok and Pattaya, but has only recently moved to Phuket. |
Condominium projects are now springing up all over the island with some very high end projects selling very quickly. We would suggest if you are looking to purchase a unit consider buying from plan from a reputable developer. Completed units are now selling for around 10-15% more than the off-plan price, so savvy investors that bought early can now sell and make a tidy return. Listed below are a few of our featured developments, with new developments coming on line every week so please keep checking back with us. |
